00:24: i feel like i've been duped. i bought a set of tickets to 4 films: troy, harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban, spider-man 2, and catwoman. the whole thing set me back 800 bucks. not bad, actually. except that they sold those to me telling me they were tickets to premieres. but they're not. they're for special screenings, 7pm on the first day of each movie's release, in a venue i don't particularly like. but i understand how these things work so, still, it's an ok deal.
what has me ranting is that these guys don't know how to organize a frickin' screening. garapalan when it comes to reservation of seats. they have yet to start on time, or let people in at a reasonable time, for that matter. they even made my friend pay for tickets which had already been paid for. for this latest screening, they started to let the crowd in at 7:30 or so, with the film rolling before even a fourth of the crowd was in the theater. ugh.
thankfully, the movies have been good so far. at least i leave the theater in a much better mood than i was in when i entered it. for the next two movies? i'm not so sure. i'll probably like the spidey sequel. maybe. i hope i'm wrong about catwoman. i get the feeling that watching it at a screening organized by that group will be more trouble than it's worth.
now, since i didn't watch potter on the best of nights, i will postpone commenting on the film until i see it with much better company on the 7th.
